The Book
They Were Always There
“They live next door. They wear our faces. They've been here all along.”
A science fiction short story for readers ages 8 to 12, and anyone who likes a good shiver. Something is living quietly among us, watching, waiting, and wearing a familiar face. One kid notices. What he does next is the story.
WV Book Festival, the day Tayden met his hero
A Big Moment
Meeting R.L. Stine
At the West Virginia Book Festival, Tayden met R.L. Stine, the author of Goosebumps and one of the writers who inspired him to start writing. Mr. Stine took a copy of They Were Always There and said he would read it on the way home.
“Every young author needs that moment. Tayden got his.”
